The Robin Hood, or the ‘The Hood’ as it is known locally, is one of Bermuda’s most popular rustic English-style taverns. The large bar and dining area can handle quite a crowd. Shooters are popular with over 50 to choose from; ever tried a ‘Buffalo Sweat’ shooter? ‘The Hood’ features TV’s throughout so you never miss a great sport play. They also serve a variety of food whether it’s pizzas,... more
Awesome atmosphere...great food....great service....
The "Hood" as its known to the mainly local crowd, serves frothy ale and deadly spirits to hard core alkys and recreational drinkers alike. While the rear of the pub caters mainly to a group of regular British expats, the main dining room hosts a series of weekly theme nights, and Friday brings the wildly popular complimentary buffet. It you engage in some Bermudian converation about the sports... more
Casual, friendly Robin Hood is popular for inexpensive pub fare, pizza, and beer served on the patio under the stars. There's almost always something sports-related on the TV.
More than most other drinking spots in Bermuda, this one attracts expatriates from the U.K. who might, if they're in a good mood, satirically describe themselves as "good-natured blokes" and "merry wenches." Set within a ten-minute walk from the offices of downtown Hamilton, it serves foaming pints of lager and hale and hearty pub fare, including some of Bermuda's best pizzas. It's also one of... more
Stopped here last year with my family. Overall great place with good food and a great crowd. Televisions all over with rugby games on, had a blast. try your hardest to make it to Robin Hoods for a drink.
I have been working in the city of Hamilton for some time and checked this place out because of some reviews. The place is neat and the service is decent. I had a platter of fish and chips that tasted like something you get from the frozen section in the supermarket. With one glass of beer it ran $20USD. If you are picky about the food quality then this is not the place to go to.
Robin Hood is a cross between an English Pub and an American Sports Bar. You get the best of both worlds, decent American food and good English beer and ale. The employees are friendly and helpful. I recommend a meal at Robin Hood. Try the pizza. Two Bermidians told me that it's best pizza on the island.
It's also one of the island's premier sports bars, with big-screen coverage of various U.S. and British league competitions. Some nights, a master of ceremonies conducts trivia quizzes, while other nights focus on reggae and rock and roll. And when it's particularly rowdy, a prize might be awarded to the patron who can drink a pint of ale the fastest.
This rowdy sports bar features a variety of entertainments. British soccer matches are shown year-round. On Fridays and Saturdays, the jukebox plays rock or reggae. Tuesday nights feature live trivia contests, and on Wednesdays when school is out, local college kids participate in chugging contests with the winner receiving a bottle of champagne. Be sure to try the pizza - it's some of the best... more
Robin Hood's has the most extensive satellite coverage of sports in Hamilton, so visitors from the US and Britain stop here to catch important sporting events from their countries. Aside from the selection of specialty pizzas, burgers, fried appetizers and sandwiches, the establishment also serves drafts, liquor and wine. Weekends often feature games and contests, which include trivia... more
