Experts at Simple Pleasures

I watched a grown woman nearly overcome with schoolgirl glee as a bathtub filled to the brim with bubbles. A bubble bath, she would argue, is a luxury the chaos of everyday life leaves no time for. When away from home, Rosewood Tucker's Point allows tub time to be a priority.

That's the thing about the Tucker's Point Resort in Bermuda's exclusive Tucker's Town neighborhood. It provides life's simple pleasures, but gives you the license to enjoy them indulgently. The resort's beds are delightfully comfortable, WiFi is free to access no matter where you are and the courtyard has an area to play croquet - one of those games everyone can have a little fun with, but rarely gets to experience.

Nothing about Tucker's Point feels gaudy or overdone - just finely appointed.

Tucker's Town is to Bermuda as Martha's Vineyard is to Massachusetts and the Hamptons are to New York. All three are playgrounds for the rich where prices and popularity are driven up because of the location's notoriety. Tucker's Point is the only full-scale hotel in the Tucker's Town neighborhood, offering high-end accommodations and amenities that are among the best in the country.

In the cooler months, the prices soften without sacrificing any of the lure - at least that's the case in Bermuda.

Team Bermuda Update November 02, 2011
"Best Ever" say many

A collection of discerning women have told us recently that the Rosewood Tucker's Point Spa is not only a great experience, but the best spa experience of their lifetime.

That's high praise.

Carrie Callahan, a public relations executive from Boston, who visits spas about three times a year, said: "I would describe the experience as blissful with mind-numbing relaxation. It is the best spa experience I have ever had. Of course the location helps."

Rosewood Tucker's Point Spa at 12,000 sqaure feet is part of the sprawling property in Bermuda's east end that includes a hotel, residence club, golf club and beach club. The property has two superb water views -- one facing the Atlantic Ocean and the other Castle Harbor. Both are postcard-ready vistas.

If you're looking for a chic place to get away from it all, you can't go wrong with Bermuda's newest boutique hotel, opened in April 2009. Dramatically perched above Castle Harbour, the immaculately furnished and spacious rooms have picture-perfect water views. Kick back and relax at the spa, which boasts nearly 150 different treatments, a reflecting pool, and an elevated yoga lawn. For... more

Revamped Castle Harbor site is the new kid in town. So far it blows us away and pleases in most every way by blending past charms with modern comforts. The paint is still drying on these elegant villas and opera-house manor chambers surrounded by light blue warm waters, emerald hills, and pink sand. In addition to rooms tailored with bespoke British furniture, balconies, and bathrooms so... more

If you can have just one splurge in Bermuda, here's where to do it. Swiss chef Serge Bottelli uses local produce in his flawlessly crafted entrées. Grilled swordfish with neck clams and chorizo, or grilled sea bass or chicken stuffed with pine nuts are not to be missed. To save money you can request a smaller portion of any dish for about three-quarters of the price. To really go all out, try... more
